| |
Start Educator. In the 'Open a Gradebook'
screen (either the first screen that appears on startup, or you
can get to the screen via File | Open) - click on the Search
button. Go through the screens of the wizard to select where to
search for your datafile (local hard drive or Network), and
which file-types to look for. Standard types are '.TWE' and '.BAK'
files. If you have published to Grades Online, then also include
".SNP" files. Look through the list of resulting files, and
determine which is correct (based on size, date, etc). Select
that file and open it. If this is not the correct file, then
repeat the procedure until you have found the correct

The reason for this problem is that you are
working with a gradebook file that ends with the extension ".snp".
You must rename the extension of the file that you are opening
from .SNP to .TWE. To do this, you should first:1. In Windows
Explorer, click on View|Folder Options (View tab).2. Un-check
"hide file extensions for known file types"3. Find the file that
you are opening in Educator.4. Rename the extension of the file
from .SNP to .TWE |
